You are not alone in this vision… the corridors are listening, and the shadows know you are here…

⛓️ THE INTRODUCTION ⛓️

A first-person short narrative-driven game set in a surreal, psychedelic horror atmosphere, inspired by the artistry and music of Luke Black - a Serbian dark pop artist and Serbia’s representative at the Eurovision 2023.  Primarily drawing inspiration from his debut album Chainsaws in Paradise.

This is a fan-made project, serving as an artistic tribute and a gesture of admiration and support toward his work and his fandom - Sleep4ever community.

The game contains direct homages to the artistic world of Luke Black, including references to his songs, recurring symbols, and well-known fandom phrases. Fans will easily recognize these elements, while new players can still experience the story without prior knowledge.

The Chapter 1 environment is directly inspired by the I’m So Happy music video.

Other areas subtly reference tracks such as God's Too Cool, Nebula Lullaby, Samo mi se spava, Vomit or Chainsaws In Paradise. These nods are woven naturally into the atmosphere and narrative, enriching the experience without making it inaccessible to those outside the fandom.

🌀 THE STORY 🌀

The player takes on the role of a lost protagonist trapped within a dark labyrinth of corridors - a space suspended between dream and reality. As they explore the shifting, unsettling environment, they gradually uncover fragments of hidden truths while confronting their own deepest fears.

The game’s ending is not explained directly - it is left open to interpretation. The final moments are deliberately ambiguous, encouraging players to draw their own conclusions and reflect on the meaning of their journey.

(I’m curious to hear your theories and interpretations)

The world feels alive. Corridors seem to listen, and shadows appear aware of your presence. The boundary between reality and hallucination slowly dissolves, guiding the player toward a deeply introspective and emotionally charged conclusion.

Now it's your time to be brave...

🦋 THE GAMEPLAY 🦋

The core gameplay revolves around exploration, environmental storytelling, and solving simple yet meaningful puzzles. Players must carefully observe their surroundings, follow textual clues, and interpret subtle hints in order to unlock new areas of the labyrinth.

Progression is driven by collecting key objects that hold both practical and symbolic significance. Each discovery brings the player closer not only to the next corridor, but to a deeper understanding of the world’s hidden narrative. A full playthrough takes around 15 to 40 minutes, depending on how much the player gets lost navigating the corridors.

The experience is intensified by sudden jumpscares and unsettling sound design that constantly builds psychological tension. Distorted echoes, distant whispers, and unexpected sonic disruptions create an atmosphere of persistent dread, ensuring that the player never feels entirely safe.

[Don’t worry, the game isn’t that scary at all]

🤍 ABOUT THE PROJECT 🤍

This is my first more advanced production, which I had the opportunity to defend as my Master’s thesis. I am aware that there are a few imperfections, but the game was created almost entirely by one person - about 90% of the work was done independently [I used 2-3 3D assets]. Despite its limitations, the project represents a deeply personal creative achievement and an important milestone in my artistic and professional journey.

A large part of the game’s atmosphere comes from its sound design - many effects, such as door sounds, ambient noises, and small interactions, were personally recorded by me. The main menu music (which was the inspiration for the live version of the intro for A House on the Hill) and final scene music were created with the help of my boyfriend, who supported me in shaping the emotional tone of these moments.

The game also includes community contributions - drawings and notes from fans that appear throughout the corridors, added as a way of sharing their creativity within the project.

The project began in January 2025 and was initially completed around June for the purposes of my master’s thesis. However, it was not fully finished at that time. After a long break, I regained the motivation and energy to continue working on it in November 2025 and later in February 2026, ultimately completing it with many interruptions and pauses along the way. In March 2026, a new album titled PARASITE was released, which unfortunately I was not able to incorporate or reference within the game.

During the development process, I faced several personal challenges that significantly affected the timeline and delayed the full completion of the project, despite earlier expectations and announcements.

Here you will find a short article about the game development process itself!

I really liked the story, I may have gotten confused mid-way through, but I was able to get back on track by the end!

really enjoyed your game!

I can only recommend playing this little game! As a member of the fandom, recognising the lyrics and overall easter eggs was really fun and you can tell a lot of love went into crafting everything! ^-^
Additionally, as someone who rarely indulges in horror games, I can safely tell everyone that it's not as scary as you may expect it to be - but brace for a fair amount of surrealism and the shadows within yourself. You'll have to piece everything together yourself using the environment you've been thrown into, but the gameplay itself is pretty straight-forward and ran without issue. Story-wise, it took me a playthrough to realise what's going on and whether I was missing anything, but that's part of the game's charme. So I'll just leave another note on the wall for other insecure beings like me who will walk these hallways: "Don't panic, just enjoy the ride!"
If you don't know him already, the game captures the uncanny vibe of Luke Black's music really well and serves as a great starting point if you want to do some fun, light reading on the subject - aka who the weird man/vampire with the lobster is, that your friend just won't shut up about.
All in all, I am very glad that Cia brought this gem to life and shared it with us! <3 It's certainly an hour well spent and a game that you keep thinking about after turning it off. Befitting our lovely chaotic fandom, it's a fever dream, but a good one! :D
